Used in the production of sulfur dyes (such as sulfochloridone GN). Used in the preparation of pharmaceuticals such as phenacetin and paracetamol, the developer mitral, and the organophosphorus pesticides parathion and methyl parathion. Can also be used as a monochrome pH indicator.

2. Primarily used as an intermediate in dyes, pharmaceuticals, and organic synthesis. Can be used as a rubber antioxidant, developer, monochrome pH indicator, and photosensitive materials.

3. Used as an organic synthesis intermediate, indicator, and analytical reagent.
